Video Mercedes Benz Stars in Transformers 3

Of course, all the stars including Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, John Torturo, Patrick Dempsey and the gorgeous Victoria’s Secret model-turned-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, were present. But since the movie is about cars, and even though the franchise features a lot of Chevrolet models, Mercedes-Benz was also present with the E-Class playing an Autobot (the good guys) and the SLS AMG appearing on screen as Huntington-Whiteley’s car.
Funny, we think it should be the other way around, since the SLS is the supercar, right? And Michael Bay was so impressed he just bought one.

Refreshed Mercedes E Class revealed
The E-Class gets the most comprehensive makeover in Mercedes history.
Mercedes-Benz has revealed its significantly updated E-class. The mid-life makeover includes revised styling, updated engines, a higher level of standard equipment, new safety features and hi-tech options. The changes are described as the most comprehensive in Mercedes’ history. The heavily revised E-class is set to get its first public outing at the Detroit motor show in January.
The major thrust of Mercedes’ efforts to increase the appeal of the E-class centres around its styling, which has been altered more significantly than is usual for a mid-life facelift, most notably at the front. The quad headlamp treatment, which had been a key design feature of the E-class since 1995, is gone, to be replaced by more conventional, prominent single-assembly headlights that feature LED daytime running lights as standard.
Further changes have been made to the grille, where there are now two options, one sporty and the other more traditional. The front bumper and bonnet are also revised.
The heavily structured rear wheelarches have been smoothed to give the car a more cohesive appearance. A new crease line runs from the rear door through to the tail lights, which retain the same shape but receive new LED-imbued graphics, whose horizontal emphasis is meant to widen the car visually. There is also a re-profiled rear bumper.
Globally, the standard E-class range will be offered with just one petrol engine in two states of tune. The turbocharged 2.0-litre unit is available with 181bhp in the E200 and 208bhp in the E250. A third petrol option will be offered in the yet to be revealed E63 AMG, which is tipped to offer an incremental increase over the 518bhp of the current twin-turbo 5.5-litre V8.
Two carried-over diesels are planned: a 2.1-litre four-cylinder with 134bhp in the E200 CDI, 168bhp in the E220 CDI and 201bhp in the E250 CDI, and a 3.0-litre V6 with 248bhp in the E350.
Among the new safety systems incorporated on the revised E-class is Collision Prevention Assist, a radar-based collision warning system with the ability to brake the car in order to reduce the severity of an impact.
The range of new and/or improved optional systems includes Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, which helps keep the car centred in a chosen lane and tracks traffic in tailbacks, and Brake Assist Plus with Junction Assist, which is able to detect cross traffic and pedestrians and can boost the braking power if the brakes are insufficiently applied by the driver to avoid an impact.
Expect the updated E-Class to reach our shores late next year.

2013 Mercedes Benz SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive Review Price

welcome to Neonista.blogspot.com website that provides a variety of information about the latest cars in the world. and this time we will share information about the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive, the following information
The pioneering drive package in the SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive is impressive and guarantees a completely innovative and electrifying driving experience: enormous thrust comes courtesy of four synchronous electric motors providing a combined maximum output of 552 kW and maximum torque of 1000 Nm. The very special gullwing model accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). The agile response to accelerator pedal input and the linear power output provide pure excitement: unlike with a combustion engine, the build-up of torque is instantaneous with electric motors – maximum torque is effectively available from a standstill. The spontaneous build-up of torque and the forceful power delivery without any interruption of tractive power are combined with completely vibration-free engine running characteristics.

The high-voltage battery consists of 12 modules each comprising 72 lithium-ion cells. This optimised arrangement of a total of 864 cells has benefits not only in terms of best use of the installation space, but also in terms of performance. One technical feature is the intelligent parallel circuit of the individual battery modules – this helps to maximise the safety, reliability and service life of the battery. As in Formula 1, the battery is charged by means of targeted recuperation during deceleration whilst the car is being driven.
Ideally the SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive is charged with the aid of a so-called wall box. Installed in a home garage, this technology provides a 22 kW quick-charge function, which is the same as the charging performance available at a public charging station. A high-voltage power cable is used to connect the vehicle to the wall box, and enables charging to take place in around three hours. Without the wall box, charging takes around 20 hours. The wall box is provided as an optional extra from Mercedes-AMG in cooperation with SPX and KEBA, two suppliers of innovative electric charging infrastructures for the automotive industry.

2011 Mercedes Benz E Class

At the launch of the 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-class convertible, the German carmaker brought along some classics from its past. We were thus reminded that golden oldies such as the 1971 280SE 3.5 were great four-place convertibles that could be hustled at reasonable speeds but couldn’t be considered sports cars.
It was a smart move, because the new E-class convertible isn’t sporty like the droptop versions of the BMW 3-series or Infiniti G37. Instead, it’s a beautifully made, solid cruiser that has space for four, drives well, is quick, and has some style.

The 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class has a cabin done in a style that is meant to recall solid, dependable Mercedes from the past. Angles are sharp, the materials first-rate and the look is decidedly somber, especially when adorned in monotone color schemes and dark wood trim -- very German, in other words. The general design is the same regardless of body style, except for the available three-spoke sport steering wheel and electric gear selector (column-mounted in the sedan and wagon; console-mounted in the coupe, convertible and AMG).
All E-Class models come with Mercedes COMAND electronics interface, which combines a large display screen, a control knob and dash-mounted buttons. Theres a bit of a learning curve involved, but its generally neither better nor worse than similar systems from Audi or BMW.
In terms of space and comfort, the E-Class sedan, convertible and wagon are excellent. The seats are firm, but offer endless comfort and support over the long haul. The coupe and AMG models feature sport seats that offer a closer fit, designed to keep you in place through turns. The sedans backseat is quite spacious, matching the BMW 5 Series as the most welcoming rear quarters in the midsize luxury class. With the wagon, you get a generous 57 cubic feet of maximum cargo capacity, and a rear-facing third-row seat. The convertible offers comfortable seating for four, provided rear passengers are about 5-feet-9 or less, and its cabin is one of the most serene of any convertible due to its AirCap system. In the coupe, the rear seats legroom is about the same as in most luxury two-doors, but headroom is limited.

A Classic Formula
The E-class cabriolet doesn’t feature a folding hardtop, using instead a traditional cloth roof that’s nearly an inch thick. The top is sealed well and seemed to be nearly as quiet at highway speeds as a metal roof. It takes about 20 seconds to furl and unfurl, with another five seconds added for all four windows to chug up or down. One benefit of the cloth top is that it allows for decent trunk space: 11 cubic feet with the top down and 14 with it up. That’s a great deal more commodious than the trunks of folding-hardtop convertibles when their tops are lowered.
Although the car looks like an E-class sedan with the roof removed, down to the gawky crease over the rear fender, it’s dimensionally closer to the C-class. (Remember, the E-class coupe and convertible effectively replace the old CLK-class lineup.) The wheelbase is 106.9 inches, which is about two inches shorter than the C-class sedan’s and 6.2 inches shorter than that of the four-door E-class. Although the wheelbase is slightly shorter than the cozy BMW 3-series convertible’s, the rear compartment is spacious enough for two full-size adults to hang out and enjoy an alfresco automotive experience.
Gadgets Galore
To make the experience a bit less breezy back there, Mercedes has introduced a gizmo on the E-class called Aircap. This is a retractable spoiler that’s mounted on top of the windshield, intended to divert air over the passenger compartment. It doesn’t have any effect on tonsorial elegance with the side windows down, but with them raised, there was notably less wind whip at speeds up to 50 mph. Aircap, which is standard on all E cabrios, looks a bit dorky when deployed, but you don’t have to look at it while you’re driving, only enjoy its benefits. Mercedes also makes its Airscarf heating system available on the E-class cabrio; it wafts warm (or cold) air around front occupants’ heads and necks via vents embedded in the headrests.
As one would expect with a Mercedes, the car has airbags up the wazoo—no fewer than seven standard, with rear side bags on the options list. The body structure has been reinforced under the floor and behind the rear seats to recover some of the rigidity that’s lost without a fixed roof. The windshield surrounds have been beefed up. Mercedes also fits two hefty, 1.4-inch-diameter tubular roll bars under the rear headrests that pop up in the event of a rollover.

Engine performance and fuel economy has been improved, starting from the base model up. As before, the E350 offers 268 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while the V8 E500 cranks out 382 hp at 6000 rpm and 391 lb-ft between 2800 and 4800 rpm. Both models will be offered with all-wheel-drive. Customers can also chose between the the six-cylinder E 350 CDI with an output of 241 horsepower and an even more efficient E350 BlueTEC, developing 211 horsepower and meeting EU6 exhaust emission standards planned for 2014. All the other engine variants in the new E-Class meet the EU5 limits.

The 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class comes standard with antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags, front pelvic airbags, side curtain airbags and a driver knee airbag.
Also standard is Attention Assist (a driver drowsiness and alerting monitor) and PreSafe (it anticipates an imminent crash and automatically takes measures to better secure occupants). The Driver Assistance package adds a blind-spot warning system, a lane departure warning/correction system and PreSafe braking. Rear side airbags are optional on the sedan, coupe and convertible, while an infrared night vision system is optional on the sedan and wagon.
In government crash testing, the E-Class sedan earned a solid four stars and a perfect five stars for frontal- and side-impact protection, respectively. The sedan also got a "Good" rating -- the highest available -- in both frontal-offset and side-impact crash tests conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Nissan Mercedes and Ford team for fuel cell tech
Three brands want to speed up commercialisation of fuel cell tech and development
Ford, Nissan and Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler have announced the formation of a partnership aimed at accelerating the commercialisation of fuel cell electric vehicle technology.
Together, the three car makers plan to develop a common fuel cell system to be used in what they describe as “highly differentiated, separately branded fuel cell electric vehicles” as early as 2017.
The companies say they plan to help define global specifications, component standards and develop the infrastructure solutions necessary to allow fuel-cell electric vehicles to be mass-marketed.
Powered by electricity from hydrogen and oxygen, fuel-cell electric vehicles emit only water while driving. Electricity used to power electric motors is produced on-board in the fuel cell stack where it is generated following an electro-chemical reaction between hydrogen, which is stored in a high-pressure tank, and oxygen from the air.
“We are convinced that fuel cell vehicles will play a central role for zero-emission mobility in the future. This co-operation will make technology available for many customers around the globe,” said Thomas Weber, head of R&D at Daimler, at today’s announcement.
Confirmation of the partnership between Ford, Nissan and Daimler for fuel-cell electric vehicle technology comes less than a week after BMW and Toyota announced they had entered into a similar joint venture.
2014 Mercedes Benz C63 AMG Edition 507
The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG models are becoming even more dynamic: the AMG high-performance cars are being fitted with an AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine with increased output as exclusive "Edition 507" models. The increase of 37 kW (50 hp) now brings output to 373 kW (507 hp) with a maximum torque of 610 Nm, and is a result of a technology transfer from the SLS AMG: the eight-cylinder naturally aspirated engine from the super sports car features forged pistons, connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft. An AMG high-performance composite braking system with red brake callipers is fitted as standard. The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG "Edition 507" is designed to appeal to ambitious sports drivers who take pleasure in top-class technology as well as exclusive design and appointment details.

2014 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507
The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG "Edition 507" produces 373 kW (507 hp), and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds in the guise of the Saloon and Coupé, and in 4.3 seconds as the Estate. As such it outperforms the 336 kW (457 hp) standard model by two tenths of a second, and the variants with the AMG Performance package which produce 358 kW (487 hp) by one tenth of a second each. The top speed of all variants is 280 km/h (electronically limited): this is because as standard the "Edition 507" models are fitted with the AMG Drivers package. In addition to an increase in the restriction imposed on the top speed, the package also includes a voucher for attendance of a driver training session at the AMG Driving Academy.
According to Ola Källenius,Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH: "The C63 AMG with the classic AMG 6.3-litre high-revving V8 naturally aspirated engine is one of the most popular AMG high-performance cars in the world. With the new C63 AMG "Edition 507", we are offering our loyal customers an attractive model variant which boasts even higher performance and at the same time is visually exciting."
Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG "Edition 507" featuring technology transfer from the SLS AMG
The increase in power output to 373 kW (507 hp) at 6800 rpm comes courtesy of the modified inner workings of the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine: the forged pistons adopted from the SLS AMG, together with new connecting rods and a lightweight crankshaft, translate into a weight saving of three kilogrammes. The reduced mass inertia benefits the agility of the eight-cylinder M 156 naturally aspirated engine, which now features even higher levels of flexibility. The maximum torque has also increased by 10 Nm, jumping from 600 to 610 Nm at 5200 rpm. The titanium grey-painted variable intake manifold is a characteristic feature of the uprated V8 engine. A new engine control system rounds off the series of implemented powertrain measures.
Externally, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG "Edition 507" is characterised by a host of exclusive design features: most notable among these is the bonnet - it originates from the C63 AMG Coupé Black Series. Two openings in the distinctive aluminium bonnet help with expelling engine heat. New AMG light-alloy cross-spoke wheels with tyres in sizes 235/35 R 19 (front) and 255/30 R 19 (rear) are another exclusive feature of the "Edition 507". The AMG light-alloy wheels are produced using particularly lightweight forging technology and are available in two variants: painted in titanium grey with a high-sheen finish, or matt black with high-sheen rim flanges. AMG sports stripes in matt graphite grey above the side sill panels are yet another new feature of the exterior.
The spoiler lip on the boot lid (Saloon and Coupé only), the exterior mirror housings as well as the surrounds on the radiator grille and daytime driving lights are all finished in high-gloss black. Darkened headlamps also add a distinctively sporty touch. Available as an optional extra exclusively for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG "Edition 507" is the designo magno platinum paint finish.
AMG high-performance braking system featuring composite technology
As standard, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG "Edition 507" comes with an even more powerful AMG high-performance braking system featuring composite technology. The front axle makes use of composite brake discs measuring 360 x 36 mm. The advantages of the composite design include higher fatigue strength and lower warping characteristics. In addition, composite discs also tip the scales at a lighter weight: the reduced unsprung masses improve the response of the spring/damping elements.
With composite technology, the brake discs are connected to an aluminium bowl via eight cast bracket arms. This results in homogenous elongation of the friction ring under heavy loads. The brake discs are ventilated and perforated all round and are decelerated by means of 6-piston aluminium fixed callipers on the front axle and 4-piston fixed callipers on the rear axle. The brake callipers are painted red all round.
"Edition 507" interior: even more dynamic and exclusive
The decidedly sporty yet functional interior of the C63 AMG is even more dynamic and exclusive in the case of the "Edition 507". Three different equipment and appointment variants are available to choose from: porcelain designo leather/DINAMICA, black designo leather/DINAMICA and black designo leather. In the case of the designo leather/DINAMICA upholstery, light-coloured contrasting topstitching makes for an attractive highlight. The AMG Performance steering wheel in Alcantara® with light-coloured contrasting stitching has a 12-oclock marking. The selector lever of the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission is finished in DINAMICA and features an AMG badge. The steering wheel and selector lever gaiter also have light-coloured contrasting stitching.
In the AMG instrument cluster, red applications serve to visually differentiate this variant from the other C63 AMG models. The trim in high-gloss black piano lacquer look and the "Edition 507" badge on the trim on the front passenger side round off the high-quality, exclusive interior.
Optional extras available from the AMG Performance Studio include:
- AMG door sill panels, illuminated in white featuring LED technology
- AMG floor mats
- AMG rear axle locking differential
- AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels, painted in titanium grey and with a high-sheen finish, with tyres in sizes 235/40 R 18 (front) and 255/35 R 18 (rear)
- AMG Performance suspension
- AMG Performance Media
- AMG carbon-fibre/high gloss black piano lacquer-look trim
- extended appointments in designo black leather comprising: upper part of dashboard, beltlines in the doors finished in designo black leather
- vehicle collection from the AMG Customer Center in Affalterbach (for Germany)
The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG "Edition 507" will be celebrating its world premiere at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, which will be opening its doors from 5 March 2013. The models sales release is scheduled to begin on 8 April 2013, while the market launch in Germany will commence in June 2013.

Mcchip Injects Mercedes Benz C63 AMG Sedan with 650 Horses
As the flagship performance version of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan series, the C63 AMG is anything but a slouch with its 480hp (487PS) 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8, but German aftermarket firm Mcchip-dkr believes that it could do with some improvements.
While fiddling around with the engine electronics could yield a few extra horses, that wasnt enough for Mcchip, which went ahead and also bolted on a supercharger system and a new custom exhaust with sport catalysts to the V8, lifting output to 650hp (660PS) and peak torque to 750Nm (553 lb-ft).

The tune continues with a KW-Clubsport suspension and the fitment of new MB rims in a “see through” design in the dimensions of 9x20 inches at the front and 10.5x20 inches at the rear, wrapped in Dunlop Sportmaxx tires.
And just to make sure thats its creation stands out on the road, Mcchip covered the C63 AMG in a special foil wrap from CoverEFX.
According to the tuner, the engine upgrade alone costs €25,999 (about US$35,000). The display model seen in these pictures is also available for €84,999 (US$114,500).
