2013 Acura RDX Review And Prices
The 2013 Acura RDX is one of the latest vesion of 2013 Acura. The 2013 Acura RDX is longer, lower and slightly narrower than the current model. Acura calls the 2013 Acura RDX on its stand a prototype of the production model, but 2013 Acura RDX has virtually identical to the midsize SUV that reaches dealerships this spring.The 2013 Acura RDX styling is updated for a smoother and wider look in keeping with the bigger new Acura MDX redesign 2013 that’s the upscale brand’s best-selling vehicle. A 2013 Acura RDX made its worldwide debut at the 2012 Detroit auto show, but its not long for the show-car circuit. Despite the bigger engine and a 22-horsepower increase.
Acura expects the 2013 Acura RDX to get 20 m.p.g. in the city and 28 m.p.g. on the highway, improvements of 1 and 4 m.p.g. from 2012, respectively. With an on-sale date of late spring, this crossover emerged at Cobo Center in almost fully production-ready form. What you see here is the redesigned 2013 Acura RDX, although the company technically is calling the car on display at the 2012 Detroit auto show a “prototype.” Acura added sound insulation and noise cancellation to reduce the 2013 Acura RDX interior noise. Available features in the 2013 Acura RDX will include voice recognition, pushbutton start, a three-view rear camera, and an interface for Pandora Internet radio. At the 2013 NAIAS Acura unveiled a new NSX Concept that showcases the evolution of the next-generation supercars styling and design, including a first-ever look at one possible direction for the next-generation NSX interior design.

"This further evolution of the Acura NSX Concept design is remarkably true to the original concept styling," said Mike Accavitti, vice president of national marketing operations. "Were making great progress in delivering on the expectations we created a year ago, with advanced technology that will bring new levels of performance and a unique, dynamic experience to the exotic sports car market."
The new Acura NSX Concept is based on the expected underpinnings of the vehicle Acura will bring to market. Still, the new NSX Concept maintains its low and wide stance with the dynamic and alluring proportions that debuted in the original NSX Concept at the 2012 North American International Auto Show - highlighted by clean, modern and simple surfacing, and edgy details that communicate supercar attitude and a high-tech feel.
The new Acura NSX Concept also features a first-ever look at one potential direction for the next-generation Acura NSX interior design. The design concept is founded on a "Human Support Cockpit" theme, a strong expression of Acuras product direction focused on "the synergy between man and machine." The interior package boasts outstanding visibility, an exotic driving position, and an intuitive "Simple Sports Interface" that minimizes interior clutter, allowing the driver to focus on the driving experience.
"Consistent with the spirit of the original NSX, our intention is to support the psychological and emotional aspects of driving a super car at the limit, because we are insistent about delivering on the synergy between man and machine," said Jon Ikeda, chief designer, Acura Design Studio. "Importantly, this will be true of all Acura vehicles moving forward."
With the aim of delivering a new sports car experience that combines next-generation supercar dynamic capabilities with advanced environmental performance, Acura announced a year ago that the Acura NSX will be powered by a mid-mounted, direct-injected V-6 engine mated to Acuras Sport Hybrid SH-AWD® (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive) system.
Acura Sport Hybrid SH-AWD is an all-new, three-motor high-performance hybrid system that combines torque vectoring all-wheel drive with advanced hybrid efficiency through the use of three electric motors - one motor integrated with the V-6 engine and two motors driving the front wheels - along with an all-new dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The system enables instant delivery of negative or positive torque to the front wheels during cornering to achieve a new level of driving performance unparalleled by current AWD systems.
The new NSX is being developed by a global R&D team led by designers and engineers at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. located in Los Angeles, California, and Raymond, Ohio. The new NSX will also be manufactured at a new production facility in central Ohio.

Acura NSX Prototype to Break Cover at Mid-Ohio Raceway Prior to Honda Indy 200 IndyCar Race
07/25/2013 - TORRANCE, Calif.
Acura today released an image of a prototype NSX supercar, announcing that the running prototype will take to the racetrack just prior to the Honda Indy 200 IndyCar Series race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. The NSX prototype with custom graphics will lap the road course in advance of the race on August 4, 2013. The race will be broadcast live by NBC Sports Network starting at 3 p.m. EDT.
Global development of the NSX, slated for launch in 2015, is being led by engineers at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. in Raymond, Ohio. Additionally, it was announced in May that the next-generation Acura supercar will be produced at the newly established Performance Manufacturing Center in nearby Marysville, Ohio.
The prototype model maintains the styling and proportions of the NSX Concept that debuted at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, while packaging the production vehicles mid-mounted V-6 engine mated to Acuras innovative new three-motor Sport Hybrid SH-AWD (Super Handling All Wheel Drive) system.
