BMW 357Ci E46 Coupe gets Pontiac GTO 5 7 liter
This BMW E46 3-Series coupe, or as its UK owner has appropriately named it, the 357Ci, started its life as a 2001 325Ci with an M Sport Package.
In the hands of its current owner, it received the same 5.7-liter LS1 V8 engine as the rather forlorn looking Porsche 911 we wrote about last week, making this the second American-powered German automobile we’ve featured in as many days.
The engine was sourced from a fourth generation Pontiac GTO (aka the Holden Monaro) complete with a six-speed manual gearbox. The tune also included the installation of the rear suspension and LSD from an M3 as well as upgraded brakes on all four corners.
Funnily enough, this doesn’t appear to be the first E46-to-LS1 conversion that’s been attempted either, as a quick search on Google will prove. There are at least three completed cars and two that are still in the shop having the conversion done. Who knew?

The 2014 BMW 5 Series Sedan will hit the market in August 2013 at a starting price of $ 50.429. After conducting several tests, the BMW 5-Series lineup made its world debut today before entering a period of sales at the end of July.
2014 BMW 5-Series Interior and Exterior
There is no change to the exterior of the car, but the BMW 5-Series adds new models to the lineup: 518d, plus a more powerful V-8 powertrain. BMW only offers additional contour lines for the surround of the kidney grille and new structured lower air intakes. To the rear, apron receive an extra crease on the apron, while the tail lights are even more striking than before. The same minor revisions are also offered on the interior where BMW adds chrome trim on the Control Display of the iDrive operating system standard fitting.
2014 BMW 5-Series Engine
This time the BMW 5-Series is powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology delivers a total of 143 horsepower. This version provides a fuel economy average of impressive in the EU test cycle of 62.8 mpg imp, and the CO2 emissions 119 g / km. Another major update to version offered above, the 550i receives a new V-8 unit with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology that develops a total of 450 horsepower.
